The Ovilla Christian School Secondary School boasts an excellent faculty, a full 40% of whom currently hold Masters degrees in their various teaching fields or in Christian ministry. All of our faculty members maintain teaching certification from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and many hold state issued lifetime teaching certificates.

All faculty members are born-again Christians from a variety of church backgrounds with a genuine faith in Jesus Christ in common. They have demonstrated their calling and equipping for Christian education in the following three areas: having demonstrated the foundation of genuine faith in Christ, having been called to the ministry of Christian Education, and holding the necessary educational credentials to support that call.

The educational program at Ovilla Christian School includes classes to support both a standard and a Distinguished diploma. Assistance is available for diagnosed learning differences through the Learning Lab Program. The school has developed a uniform 6 – 12 grade Writing Curriculum Guidelines Handbook that addresses our commitment to train across grade levels and subject areas. We also offer a number of college level dual credit courses that issue readily transferable college credit at the same time as high school credit is obtained. The college freshman core courses of Computer, Philosophy, and US History are currently available on the OCS campus.

The Science Department shares a full lab that was designed specifically to meet the needs of high school in our biology, chemistry, and physics courses. A complete and spacious library and two full state-of-the-art computer labs service student needs in many academic areas. Spanish is offered through level III. Art classes, drama classes, Yearbook, Newspaper, and high school choir classes are also available at OCS. Academic competition is encouraged and sponsored through ACSI and TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools) events.
